Shimano Chronarch Ci4 grinding sound

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Shimano Chronarch Ci4 grinding sound

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a grinding sound when retrieving their Chronarch Ci4. I have cleaned the raceways, I have cleaned the teeth on the line guide, still makes a horrible grinding sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

my guess is a bad bearing. i suggest sending it in, should still be under warranty.

Noises are very hard to diagnose on a web forum. It could be bearings, gears, something assembled wrong...I suggest sending the reel in for repair.
