Favorite Discontinued Reel?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

The "old" Zillion. If I had to pick just one it's the 100SHSA.

I really like the shape of my first high end baitcaster, a TDS. The weight wasn't great though.

I new limited edition TDX 10x HSDF made of Magnesium (or maybe Zaion) with bigger gears, ultimate tournament drag, and a swept handle would be pretty sweet. I would most certainly buy one for $350 or less.

I was lucky enough to find nice samples of the TD-ito, cq51, and tdz type r+ last year. I bet the value of good condition reels go way up as less and less are available. I try to pickup whatever i can.

I liked my correctly colored SMAK too. The twitching bar was pretty easy to get used to.

I am huge fan of the old B series curado as well, but my focus has been mostly on the BSF models with a super free spool. It is basically the same as the 200B or 201B but has the added upgrade of the super free spool found in higher end models. I have 4 of the BSF reels and only 2 of the regular 201B's and I rarely if ever use the basic model. I much prefer the BSF model.

I also have a newer Chronarch 101BPV and my older BSF curado reels blow it away.

So for me, the discontinued model I most prefer is the CU-201BSF.
