absolute worst reel you ever owned

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Cabelas Prodigy baitcaster the one based on the Aggrest. Full of grease and just felt cheap. Sucks that it was a Daiwa.

Shimano Symetre, I got two and both failed very early on, in fact these were the only reels I ever had fail out of most major brands.

Shimano Corsair for me as well. I was young and didn't know about the free replacement. My IAR went out within a month.

Quantum Escalade. Biggest POS baitcaster I've ever touched. It's been resting at the bottom of a lake for a long time now

Yes. I bought one when they came out and had problems with it. I took it back after a season and to my surprise, it was replaced with a newer version. It wasn't much better. I sold it and got a Millionaire.

The spinning reel that was endorsed by Ted Takasaki after he won a major PWT event...went back to Daiwa SS Tournament and Emblems and Shimanos and never looked back.

Tossup between Quantum Iron(junk) and the AbuGarcia Eon(obviously NEVER field tested).
The Eon had possibilities but nothing worked as intended.
The Quantum was just junk that died after less than a season of use. Shoulda been called the Quantum Rust.

I had the Eon and feel exactly the same, had potential but wow that reel was a birdnesting machine. :doh:
