The End of the Steez?
http://translate.google.com/translate?s ... t=&act=url
In the description of the limited steez LTD SV that was recently released, it says this:
"Worth the name of "LIMITED", the final evolution of STEEZ."
On top of this, it says the same thing in the steez LTD SV TN (the red and black one):
"Highest peak model of deep red in pursuit of the final evolution of STEEZ worth the name of "LIMITED", the weight of the ultimate"
Perhaps the final evolution refers to the SV spool and the other cool stuff that has maxed out the steez's looks and performance.
If this is the last evolution/variant of the steez, than that must mean it is going to be discontinued.. Maybe we will see a new flagship reel soon from daiwa? I hope it isn't some modified tatula.

Lol....
Re: The End of the Steez?
Maybe the SS SV takes its place and we'll finally get the Z1016 as a flagship.
Re: The End of the Steez?
I love the Steez. I also can't wait to see what Daiwa will come out with to replace it. I'm sure it won't be a Tatula. It will definitly have a SV spool in my opinion.

A 10xx sized Z would be a great replacement to the Zillion. Unfortunately the Z20xx sold so poorly (mostly due to the crazy high price) that it is probably gone for good.tywithay wrote:Maybe the SS SV takes its place and we'll finally get the Z1016 as a flagship.

Is the air brake the new Daiwa breaking system now? I know it's a combo of the magnets and the spool but I can't seem to figure out why the Mag3d hasn't been added to any other reels. Any ideas?

Re: The End of the Steez?
The mag3d option requires changing how the magnets are mounted in the side plate, putting them on a platform that shifts toward and away from the spool. The reels without it might not have room in the side plate for the extra parts. No reason they can't make all new side plates though I suppose. Kind of surprised the SS didn't include it since it has just a Steez side plate with some molding changes. Since they remolded it they should have included mag3d as well.Finnz922 wrote:Is the air brake the new Daiwa breaking system now? Air brake spools have a twisting inductor instead of the spring loaded inductor like on mag z and v spools.

My bad. Never saw those threads back in 2011.

It's funny to read posts from the past that were way off the mark. Here's the proof that you should not believe everything you hear or read.africanbass wrote:I also believe it is the 'end' of the Steez, finallyAfrayedknot wrote:Is this old news or something?africanbass wrote:Deja vu....
