Who Got their Curado I?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Anyone received a Curado I yet or had hands on it in store? Please post your impressions on it. 8-)

I put my hands on one. It is pretty sweet. I wrote a review in the other Curado thread.

Just purchased one at the Classic in 6 gear ... Can't wait to get it on the water Tuesday or Wednesday.
6's and 7's flew off the shelves at the expo. When I left to go get seated for weigh in pretty much a hand full of 5 gears was all that was left ...

I'm actually posting from my seat waiting for weigh in to begin ... \:D/

Every online place I have checked has none, and if you call them, they say they didn't even get any. I really don't see why they put such emphasis on a release date if the reels were not going to be avail to buy. I too would be very interested if anyone was actually able to purchase one on Friday some place other than the Classic. I am sure it is a great reel, and I will wait to get mine, but kind of annoying.

I've read in a few places that BPS claims to have them but isn't going to make them available for purchase until next week during their yearly BassMaster Classic sale.

Saw one, bought one, fished one. Best reel in the price range by a mile.

Also, can you give us a pic with a side by side, size comparison from the side view (sideplate side) of it to another reel, preferably shimano?

Thanks for any help/info

I also handled them at the Classic expo. Feels pretty much like an aluminum Chronarch Ci4+, which means it feels awesome. I've been planning to pick up a clearance Curado G, but the new one has just about made me change my mind.

Why, and what other current reels in the price range have you fished?

X2.
Seeing it on your rod, it doesn't look as big as I thought it was.

He's got a Curado 50, Chronarch 200E, Tatula R, and possibly other reels.

DAMN! I just got a Chronarch Ci4+, but now I'm thinking I should have waited if it's basically the Ci4+ made of aluminum...not that I don't love the Ci4+, but for $100 less, I'd be happy with aluminum.
