TT review of BB1 goof???

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

TT review of BB1 goof???

Post by OhioChamp183 » Sun Jan 19, 2014 12:39 pm

Got me a little confused?
In their review, they call the Z model as the one with the "multi stop " anti reverse, And thinking its the one that has anti reverse "play", But actually the Z model is the one with zero reverse- anti reverse.....no anti reverse play, ........

Couple Quotes from review:

"The new BB1 reels come in two flavors, a modern day instant anti-reverse and a zero anti-reverse for die-hard fans of the original"

"The spool speeds up quickly and with the centrifugal brakes dialed back to just two it is very possible to cast the multi-stop Z model reels 70 yards without breaking a sweat. We will talk more about what the zero anti reverse means in terms of retrieve feel in the next section but this older implementation actually is designed to take some of the pressure off the spool allowing for small, but noticeable gains, in long distance casting."
