Lews Knobs

Will Daiwa knobs fit? And are shimano knob holes bigger that daiwa/abu?

daiwa and shimano knobs fit 4mmx7mm while lews/abu/pflueger are 5mmx8mm. you'd only be able to fit daiwa knobs onto a lews shaft if you can find 5x7x2.5 bushings or bearings...i've looked all over for such bearings and cannot find any. if you don't like the lews paddle knobs, the revo knobs from the revo store fit perfectly.

I thought daiwa and shimano knobs arent compatable

the difference between the two is that daiwa shafts are 25.5mm long and shimano shafts are 23mm long. therefore, you can fit shimano knobs onto a daiwa handle if you add an additional 4x7x2.5 ball bearing at the base of each shaft. but, the opposite is not true; daiwa knobs won't fit on shimano handles. here's a more in-depth explanation: http://www.japantackle.com/Tuning_parts ... alling.htm
