Where exactly has this feature been in spinning reels in the past?dragon1 wrote:X-ship is not the only reason why the USDM Ci4 needs an overhaul. X-ship is not IMO, what will bring Shimano's current lineup "up to date" either, as this design has been around for a long time.fishingandfords wrote:Considering all the new models have X-ship the ci4 is behind the curve and due for a overhaul

Re: New shimano ci4?
Was talking to my local Shimano rep and was told that this year at icast a new Ci4 with X-ship will be released, and also a Chronarch Ci4, which is going to be priced in right around $280
Re: New shimano ci4?
Both with x-ship, Chronarch Ci4 with same drag star as Calcutta d. Both look awesome. Can't wait to get them!DirtNasty wrote:Was talking to my local Shimano rep and was told that this year at icast a new Ci4 with X-ship will be released, and also a Chronarch Ci4, which is going to be priced in right around $280

Re: New shimano ci4?
Same word from ours, Chronarch CI4 right close to the $300 mark. The nice thing is he said there is a "low profile" 50 and 100 size, not like the Core 100 so well see how the shape has changed...no word about being like the calcuttaDirtNasty wrote:Was talking to my local Shimano rep and was told that this year at icast a new Ci4 with X-ship will be released, and also a Chronarch Ci4, which is going to be priced in right around $280

I like all the speculation but there is a lot of wrong info. ICAST is about a month away. I will have the data up on the site again like always. I will be at ICAST this year, so the post may not be as good as usual. It's a lot easier to do from my computer at work instead of my IPAD.
Re: New shimano ci4?
Oh just spill the beans already!!
Re: New shimano ci4?
I'm working on all of the images and info today. I will be gone a lot prior to ICAST so I have to do it now. I might post a sneak peek if I get the ok.

Ok, where is your paycheck? Heck, I can sign it, don't know if it will do any good, but I can sign it.

I'm guessing Shimano's going for new braking and no breaking.MTBF wrote:New breaking on the Chronarch too I hear.....
