stradic ci4 1000fml

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

stradic ci4 1000fml

Post by eric30 » Fri Jan 18, 2013 10:37 pm

My wife recently bought me a stradic ci4 1000fml for my birthday and after looking at the specs this reel has 4.4lbs of max drag. All i do is smallmouth fish in creeks and streams and i cant decide if i should keep the reel or exchange it for the stradic ci41000 which has 7lbs of max drag. The line i will use on this setup is 10 lb power pro. I guess my biggest concern is the reel has a small drag rating. Would you guys keep the 1000 fml or exchange it? Thanks for the help.

Exchange it. It would be an even money exchange and you get more drag. Win, win deal. I have had big fish snag my line while smallie fishing.

yeah,
exchange it, itll help you in the long run.
and you have a better chance of selling it one day when you dont want it anymore.
