Quantum or other

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

All my casting reels are the pre-vented spool curados. Oldies but goodies and have performed well. I'm starting to think it may be time for an upgrade. I've noticed that you can find quantum energys new on ebay for around $100 when they were over 200 new. Was thinking about picking a few of these up. Thoughts from those with experience with this reel? Something else I should be looking at for that price? I'm not big on the brand new model for top dollar and am fine with getting last year's model at a discount if you know what I mean.
