Steez 103 Spool in 100

From my research the

103HA = V spool, Mag V system, better for lighter lines and lures

100Ha = U spool and Mag Z system, better for heavier lines and lures..

I have a 100HLA right now and was wonder if swapping the 103 spool would help to throw lighter baits.

I was wondering how much influence the spool has vs the Magforze Z braking system in accomplishing this.'

In other words: does swapping out the spool only reduce the amount of line capacity and have minimal impact on throwing lighter baits?

In addition, are the HLA and HA spools different in any way?

spools are the same right or left.

putting a 103 spool in a 100 steez makes it a 103 steez with a longer handle. The breaking is in the spool's inductor. Any of the 103/105 size TDZ spools will fit as well so do a search b/c there's lots of options.

So what your saying is the Magforce V is in the 103 spool itself?

That's very interesting and perhaps the reason there's no 103 for 2012. Just buy the spool and swap out as needed. I like the longer handles on my reels.
