chronarch D7 VS chronarch E7
Why the change and whats the upgrade?
I see they have a Chronarch 50 size which is awesome but the D7 looks better IMO....
The D7 has 7 A-RB's
The E7 has 5 Shielded Stainless Steel BB, 1 S A-RB BB, 1 A-RB Roller Clutch Bearing
Think I will keep my D7

there is no upgrade just a curado 200 e7 with a new paint job and chronarch badge. the d7 my be the last and best of the chronarchs before they ruined the name with this new model.

Re: chronarch D7 VS chronarch E7
Knowing the new Chrinarchs are rebadged Curado with nothing more then a new paint job and different colored handle, I'm getting a 201E7 and 201E5 for throwing floro E7 and 20 lb mono for large SB and Deep Cranks E5. The Curado E series has shown itself to be a good reel and specially after new bearings and perhaps tuning. I actually prefer the Curado versus the Chronarch D series due to additional line capacity for what I need in South Florida. Had I been sticking to 12 lb or less, i would buy one of the remaining 101D7 out there but would still need the new E5 because I need a low gear lefty. Besides, I have a Core 101 I'm going to convert to D7 gears and although it won't be as smooth as a D7 it should get me close enough. I'm still thinking the Chronarch will just be labeled Core since they share the same platform and we will continue to have an aluminum and MG variant to play with.

I use 20lb Sufix braided line so I will never run out of line....
IMO the curado is a damn nice reel but the Chronarch D put it to shame

Re: chronarch D7 VS chronarch E7

Ya I'm confused now too. So the chronarch is the same reel as the Curado?

The Chronarch E is the same reel as the Curado E. They discontinued the Chronarch D series. The Curado G is the Caenan with a metal frame and more bearings.october wrote:Ya I'm confused now too. So the chronarch is the same reel as the Curado?
I like TD-Z's

This is basically, exactly true although some might point out the new Chroanrch has a double anodized handle and spool, blah, blah, blah. For practical purposes, yes they are the same reel.Teal101 wrote:The Chronarch E is the same reel as the Curado E. They discontinued the Chronarch D series. Re: chronarch D7 VS chronarch E7
I have a few Curado E's and Chronarch D's and although I like them both the Chronarch D is much better. I'm going to wait until next year when I'm guessing that Shimano will reintroduce a Chronarch D type of reel because there were so many disappointed people this year.
