your opinion please luna 103 vs calcutta 100b

I can't live without a new reel to throw 3/8 and lighter diving cranks for white bass. I have a 151 calcutta that I had abec 5 bearings put on and It does fine, but I want another. Cannot afford a TE.
I have two luna 253 which I love, but of course they are too heavy. I seem to like the round reels and with average hands I palm them.
Do not read much from the group about the smaller luna reels. neither tackle warehouse or cabelas carry the smaller sizes.
Am I missing something here? Your input appreciated

They are both really good reels. I've had both. The 100B is very smooth and well-rounded. Mine cast really well, especially with a ChugBug. Just simplicity and rock solid design. The TDLuna 103 is also a fine casting reel, and I liked it somewhat more than the 100B, mainly because of the non-handle side brake adjustment plate. It has a "Z-brake feeling" to the casting like the Fuego and Zillion, and it has a real businesslike retrieve. It's definitely a medium-small crankbait weapon.

My vote is for the Luna. Better yet find a used CV-Z 103 Millionaire it's even better than the Luna.

I would choose the Luna 103 over the Calcutta 100B also. To me the Luna is more in line with the Calcutta TE than the B.

White Bass are small weak fish i would just get a calcutta 50xt from japan if you prefer round reels and it is 6.6oz. You can get it for $100-130 if you look around. But i do love the thumb bar on the Luna/Mill

I had a couple Calcutta 50's loved everything about them but the 16" per crank retrieve.
