PX 68 vs Steez 103

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

PX 68 vs Steez 103

Post by spencerinstl » Sat May 07, 2011 7:49 am

Which is better at pitching the PX 68 or the Steez 103. I put my px 68 on my dx 704 and was pretty impressed with the pitching capability of the px 68. Also, is the px 68 going to be more user friendly because of the magforce Z brakes vs the magforce V type R brakes?
Thanks for the epiphany captain obvious

I love my px68 for pitching beavers..
Super easy and does a great job at controlling the bait.

I've noticed from prior posts that you like the px 68 and Zonda for pitching. What other reels do you like vs the steez for pitching and why not the steez?

Just not a fan of the finicky steez..
Pixys just fit my hands better and are a sweet pitching reel.
The Zonda I use for casting and pitching since it has a deeper spool.. 8-)

PX68 is design for power finnese while Steez is more like all-rounder. Overall, PX68 did extremely well on small worm, but if for spinnerbait, small crank, jerkbait, Steez is killer.
