Shimano BB-X 6.6:1 Ultra High Speed Spinning Reel

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

No, that's not a typo. 6.6:1 ratio. 38.6 inches per crank on a 2500 size spinning reel. Does anyone know anything else about these?

I'm hoping this will perk the interest of someone who can help me out...
I am trying to find other 2500/3000 Shimano spinners that have a 6.0:1 Ratio & Direct Drive (No worm gear, no aerowrap 2) aka "slow oscillation" or "aerowave" on saltwater reels. I'm looking for something higher end than a Saros. I'm also curious what the last year model of Stella, Sustain, or Stradic that had direct drive. I know the FH Series White Stradics had slow oscillation, but they do use a worm gear.

I've been leaning toward the Saragosa 3000, but it seems a bit heavy for throwing 1/4oz jigs on a 7' ML Avid.
Any info is much appreciated!

Saros is the only freshwater reel that I know of that will still use a round gear drive for the oscillation.
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish
