I have the chance to pick up a chronarch 101A in prefect condition. Comes with original box, manual, warranty card, oil, you name it this guy has it. The reel has just been professionally serviced too. All of this for $75. Is it worth it? Or has technology advanced so much that this is a poor investment.

I agree for $75 you can't go wrong. I too have 2 of these reels that I still enjoy fishing with from time to time. I wish I had at least a couple more just because they were my first "quality" baitcasters when I first started fishing. My first Shimano products also.
