Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Right handed, but reel with the left. Started doing it that way because of an injury. Never went back.

Dominate hand to cast and set hook, so I reel with my left, it just makes sense.

This goes for both casting and spinning reels for me......for some, casting righty, spinning lefty ](*,) doesn't make sense one bit at all.
I will NEVER sell another 3:16 swimbait again!

Ambidextrous.. I reel with my right because me left is stronger even after tearing my Rotator Cuff. Throw footballs right handed and kick left footed. I'm all screwed up..

Cast right ...switch and hold rod in left ... while reeling right. Except when pitching and flipping. Flip and pitch with left while reeling right. I know .... I know ... LOL ](*,)

I started fishing with spinning reels with the handle on the left and graduated to left handed baitcasters

I wonder ...if so many people voted left then why is the market targeted more towards right hand versions? Im sure reel manufacturers look at sales demographics of what sells the most to base their decisions ??? Thoughts anyone ? :-k

ON pg.5 of this thread, towards the bottom of the pg., RStien321 breaks it down quite nicely.

No worries man, you didn't make an a-hole out of yourself :) . It's also quite common from what I've seen on the net for people to do what you did. It makes sense that the later one comes in on a thread that the likelihood of one reading the whole thing goes way down. He did say it so very slick too didn't he.
