Shimano for everything with the exception of the smallest UL reels in which I use Tica.

I have a pretty equal Shimano to Daiwa ratio in my line up. As far as bass fishing goes the Shims are the the work horses and the Daiwas are the fancies. Daiwa got the nod.

Once used solely shimano for Spinning and bc I'm now using shimano for Spinnings and daiwa for BC...

I used to be all Daiwa. Recently, I've been dabbling in the Shimano world. I now own an Antares, Conquest and Metanium. I also own an 16 Aldebaran BFS but that's because it has magnetic brakes.

I think I prefer the Shimano reels for moving baits and the Daiwa reels for all other baits. SV technology is game changing and I could not imagine skipping without it anymore.

I love both Shimano & Daiwa...Voted Daiwa because I have slightly more of them...at least for now

I like both Diawa's and Shimano's, its hard to pick between the two but I voted for Shimano because it was one of my first reels when I was a kid and I just started using Diawa a few years ago.

My favorite isn't even on the list. I switched to KastKing a few years ago on the advice of a friend. I have had a good experience with the reels I've bought from them so far, and the price is right. That being said, I will probably stick with them until they prove me wrong.

Drop that Lastking and get you a Shishamo!

I like Shimano reels. The Stella F1 and Calcutta Conquest are something to behold.

I grew up using Shimano reels but Daiwa is killing it with their braking systems. Its nice to be able to just snug the tension knob just so its not loose and use the Magforce to brake with. I never touch the tension knob!

I own both a shimano (71hg) and a 13 fishing (inception). Had to go with shimano on this one. Looking to get the k next.
