Opinions on Pflueger Patriarch XT?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

I got a few extra dollars and I might get this reel to pair up with my 705CB Glass. Any input on it? Likes, dislikes, pros, cons, ect..

Love the reel, smooth, light, and not bad looking. Hate the foam grips. I guess I am old fashion, I like the rubber type grips.

My thoughts exactly. I can live with the grips, but I don't prefer them. The reel is superb!
