Here's two unicorns and a maybe sir!

I received some unexpected assistance with my storm damage cleanup yesterday, so I was able to sneak out on a local flowage near my lake cabin this morning and the smallmouth bass were hitting the 5g or 3/16oz RAID Japan Libero Head Swimmer slowly dragged/stroked over isolated rock structure in ~20ft of water. Nothing gigantic but lots of fun to be had on the Sedition Cristobals and the new Keitech F-Spec KTC762F-SPG (Spiral Wrap Guides) ML casting rod. While the new Keitech rod lacks the uber sensitivity of the Sedition Cristobals, it's currently in production and readily bought from Japan, and has been a fantastic addition to the Bass BFS/ML JDM collection and well worth the price of admission.

The rod you're describing is the GLX 852c JWR. It's perfect

If you can find a used one the Sedition Cristobal is a top notch mag Ml rod with incredible feel, balance, cosmetics and length. It casts incredibly well baits in that 1/4 to 3/8 oz range such as 1/4 jig with a trailer.

Sweet rod. However, the cork wear did trigger my OCD as I see it as preventable. My cork gets silicone tape for protection and grip. It is tacky, but not sticky and bonds to itself.

I'm on the prowl for a dedicated 1/4 oz finesse jig/bottom contact casting rod. Total bait weight=8-12 grams...

Has anyone experience with the Shimano Expride 72ML(A or B?) and would it have have sufficient power?

If I had $600 I'd just get the Daiwa Steez AGS 'The Sensor'...but on paper the Sensor is a little more powerful?

Favorite rod I own in this range and arguably the most sensitive finesse bottom contact rod I’ve ever used is a x7 super eiger. Idk what black magic they used when conceiving this thing but it’s a special stick and highly regarded for a reason. If you’re lucky enough to find one in decent condition for a decent price I wouldn’t hesitate on picking one up. I was lucky enough to snag mine for like $190

Your rod to get is a GLX 852 JWR. It's perfect I that range. Super sensitive, balanced, and easy to fish.
