Bazooka grip for Musky / Big Pike
Some says that in St.Croix Legend Tournament Musky it's not pistol grip:
Outdoor Grips seems manufacturing similar reel seat:
Anybody tried this kind of reel seat. Is these good?-

I here tell St. Croix might have "borrowed" that design from a gentleman. Some folks were none too pleased.
Re: Bazooka grip for Musky / Big Pike
Is one or both those designs patented? But to me those are different enough designs.
Re: Bazooka grip for Musky / Big Pike
I fish for musky, and see no reason for this when the standard reelseat does perfectly fine.
Re: Bazooka grip for Musky / Big Pike
Outdoors grips came first, patented the design and sold to PacBay. I'm currently building a musky rod with one of those (PacBay Revolution) to see how it works. Regular reel seats work fine for throwing smaller baits, but anything that helps pain and fatigue after throwing big baits for a while is welcome.

I would love one of those pacbay handles depending on the caliber of rod I had built

The PAC Bay revolution seats have been available for a few seasons now and are in my opinion very comfortable to fish. I have them on 4 of my musky rods now and find myself grabbing those more often than my standard reel seat rods.

This design would really help with alleviating the duress of palming a large diameter round reel all day...which I assume is where it was born from, as the mother of necessity.
