NRX users…what’s your top three (or four) rods in the lineup?

#1 - 873CRR - Texas rigs and jigs up to 1/2 oz
#2 - 893 - 5" weightless Senko, football jigs, 1/4 to 3/8 oz Texas rigs
#3 - 852C - light Texas rigs, weightless flukes, bigger jerkbaits
#4 - 894 - 1/2 oz jig plus trailer, Texas rigs in heavier cover

That's a nice group! I think the 852c and 894 are on my short list...I love the 873 but it does seem that its max is around 1/2 with trailer. Is the sensitivity on the 852c pretty good?

Sensitivity on the 852C is on par with the 893. All 4 rods listed are very sensitive in my hands. One thing I like about the 852 is that it can throw bottom contact and moving baits. You just won't be able to pull fish out of cover though.

I have just about every model of NRX. The ones I could never part with are the 844, 853, and 804. I use each every trip out. But I must give honorable mention to 854, 894, 904. If you are seeing a theme I like heavy power rods because I fish heavy grass lakes.

What do you use your 844 and 853 for mostly? What do you like about them? thanks

I use the 844 a lot for swim
Jigs. But it’s a fantastic Texas rig rod or light jig. Also have used for chatterbait and big spinnerbaits.

The 853 I use primarily for wacky rig. But it’s also a great shakey head rod here in Texas.

I consider both of these rods to be very versatile models. They could be used for much more than just what I listed.
