Shimano Expride Thoughts??

I just bought a 7’ Light Expride spinning rod, it is more of a ml action but I love it, matched up with a 2000 Twinpower and 8 lb braided line, it is a super light combo, now I want to get the 7-6 Expride when it becomes available

I just got the 7'6" ML plus a few days ago. Weighed 114.05 grams on my scale, 4oz. Balances 1 cm in front of the cork grip with the new Vanquish 2500. Balances on the tip of the cork grip with an unspooled Stradic FM 2500. Haven't got a chance to fish with it yet.

Stuck between the 7-2 ML and the 7-6 spinning models. Wish I could handle one before purchasing. Looking for a do it all. Senko, small swimbaits, grub rod.

I got the 7’2 ML a couple weeks ago. It is very nice.

I would say that it’s similar to the loomis 852s but 1/2 a power lighter in the tip. I am using it as my moping/damiki rod but I could see it doing the things you listed well. All comes down to whether you’d want the extra length of the 7’6.
