852S NRX vs NRX+

Post by Cranky » Sun Feb 13, 2022 12:30 pm

Aside from the obvious reel seat change, has there been any change in power/action/sensitivity moving from the original NRX to the new NRX+ model 852S?

Following.

I don’t have this specific model. But I can say from the new NRX + I have gotten vs the old ones, they are really super close. And the plus has enough improvements I am pleased. Can’t say Iam gonna replace all of them , but if I have too I won’t mind it.

I felt the NRX+ 852S a bit more of a traditional JWR. It's a bit stiffer in the midsection and a bit more sensitive.

The new 852+ feels much softer. I was going to get one but did not like how soft it felt in the store. I didn’t think I would be able to get a good hook set with some Texas rigged plastics.
