So I had some time to get out and pond fish.
I should also mention that I was using a free rig with 3.5 gram tungsten weight , 2/0 gammy EWG hook with a GeeCrack 2.8 bellows gill and my T-Rig was the same only the wieght was a 2.8 reins weight. I did use some other Zoom Z3 swamp crawler

The rod is really good in the sensitivity department, and I felt this panfish and some dinks and I never second guess my hooksets or anything like that. I did use a G1 spool rather than the ZPI M Spool and I felt that really helped as it got dark with the limited visibility.. Casting was great with this rod and will say that as a ned rig rod this is a smoker.. lol
I am going to drop shot with this rod and I feel like it was a superb purchase. I feel like I could use another one of these rods and may very well do so in the future. IMHO, this rod can be a dedicated ned rig rod or free rig rod, light texas rig rod and even a split shot rod but I feel that it is far more versatile and this rod can do some other stuff like of course JB. But I want to do it myself and see how I like it. There is never a doubt about the rod's power because it turns on quick and it is not whippy which is something that i didnt want.

Sooooooo

Had a couple few hours with this set up on the water dropshotting.
I was in 12-20 feet of water. I really like the TDZ pairing due to the lightness and the way I can put my finger on the line just before the reel. However I found that although it was something I kinda did out of habit , by the time I felt the tick on the line the rod had already transmitted the strike.
I could tell when I was in the grass and when the tungsten drop shot weight hit something hard. It’s like the rod tells you absolutely and unequivocally what is going on down there.

So what you're saying is that the rod felt dead in your hand and that an ugly stick has the same level of sensitivity?

Yup! Not what I said 😂
I wish I had more time and my h3 dropshot casting rod with my aldebaran.
on the water to compare it to. I will hopefully sooner than later.

Join to the question.
P.S. Does anybody know why Daiwa US don't have weights of the any rods they sell in US?
Daiwa Japan do have all of them in grams.

They just came back in stock at The Tackle Trap. The Sensor is approximately 117 grams or 4.1 oz.

Most US anglers don't care so much about the overall weight of a rod in grams, I'm one who is in that camp

What’s a gram??
The weight of one square centimeter of water at 4 degrees Celcius. Meaning that The Sensor weights roughly half its length in water :P

Call it 1/30th of an ounce, for easy calculations

Thank you, I know it's a preference, but I love my rods light. If I'm spending $600 on rod, but it came in heavier than the average rod I'll be highly disappointed.

To me less weigh equals more sensitivity and less fatigue. Sure, we can say heavier rods like Dobyns and some Megabass models they tend to add weight for balance. How I see it, I can add weight to counter balance, but can't remove weight.
