How would you use this lineup

Post by Matt_3479 » Mon Mar 08, 2021 1:21 pm

Well getting some fresh line spooled up, and leaders tied and reels oiled and cleaned when a buddy came over. He was looking at my 2020 line up and had a slight difference in opinion on what to use some of the rods for, so I’m curious what you would use each of these rods for and what might you add?

spinning;
- 7’ light plus expride
- nrx 852s
- glx 822s dsr

casting
- glx 852c
- nrx 853c
- expride 7’2” mh m/f
- imx pro 845c cbr
-imx pro 884 twfr
- glx 894c
- 13 fishing envy black 7’6” heavy extra fast
- megabass orocchi xx launcher

This is how I would use the rods:

spinning;
- 7’ light plus expride - spybaits, hair jigs, small shad raps. From what I know, this rod has a good parabolic bend.
- nrx 852s - All purpose finesse - Neko, wacky senkos, shaky heads, ned rigs, 3'' swimbaits
- glx 822s dsr - drop shot

casting
- glx 852c - ricos and other small topwater, 1/8 oz Texas rigged senkos, 1/8 ox finesse jigs, jerkbaits
- nrx 853c - Texas rigs up to 1/2 oz, jigs up to 1/2 oz
- expride 7’2” mh m/f - Spinnerbaits and bladed jigs
- imx pro 845c cbr - lipless and squarebills
-imx pro 884 twfr - frogs, heavy topwaters like ploppers
- glx 894c - 1/2 oz and 3/4 oz football jigs, light flipping
- 13 fishing envy black 7’6” heavy extra fast - 6'' mag drafts and flipping
- megabass orocchi xx launcher - Deep cranking
