Another vote for the Dobyns 764RM. This thing is super versatile! I like to use this to bomb out ripbaits in the winter, then dig the rocks in the late summer. It's my go to for squarebills as well. This is my favorite cranking rod of all time.slime king wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 6:22 pmIf I had to pick one it would be my dobyns 764rm. It will throw small flat sides and square bills to smaller deep divers. It has the tip of the 704 coupled with the mid of the 705 and a little extra length that helps with light baits.
what is the best one stop shop crankbait rod?

I've thrown the Strike King 1.5 squarebills all the way up to a 6XD on a Dobyns 765 CB Glass. Works good for the 6XD in situations where the grass isn't very heavy (i.e. Not a great rod to rip a 6XD out of heavier grass). Not sure I'd attempt throwing an 8XD with it though.

Depending on your preferred length I would suggest the Loomis 845 CBR, St Croix Legend Glass 7'4" MH, or the Dobyns 764 rm.
