Steez AGS Spinning Rods
Re: Steez AGS Spinning Rods
I should have gotten another 76mml when they had the last order but kept debating over adding a 7’M. I have a lot of 76 spinning rods and was considering the 7’ for more largemouth fishing tossing senkos etc

Please do, I recently got the Daiwa AGS 7’ 1” H and I am very impressed. Based on my fondness for that rod, you would think, it would be easy to give the 7’ M Spinning a try, also for tossing Senkos but the Ho in me wants the new St Croix Legend Extreme instead. Sometimes we are out worst enemies but would love to see more feedback on these rods in general as they have been kinda flying under the radar.

I've been curious about the 7'H for light saltwater duties.Jdmbassman wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 4:31 amPlease do, I recently got the Daiwa AGS 7’ 1” H and I am very impressed.
What would you say is the low - high end on that rod? Is there a lively tip section to it or is it fairly stiff?

Re: Steez AGS Spinning Rods
It’s a great rod, little bit of tip and nicely gets into the backbone to keep fish pegged. It’s my 1/2 oz 5/8oz Jig/T-Rig rod so handles an 1oz well total weight no problems. Still on the fence in terms of sensitivity. Fished it back to back with my 844 Conquest and it wasn’t quite the same. Could be that I switched from X9 and Strike King Tour Grade 15lb to Maxcuatro and Gold Label 15lb.
