I will check into that.
Megabass levante discontinued?
Re: Megabass levante discontinued?
Got my Levante jerkbait special in last week. Looks and feels great. Heading out in the morning and looking forward to trying it out. Hoping to find some spotted seatrout to test it out on.

Re: Megabass levante discontinued?
Received both the PP and the Laviathian.
Let me start by saying Megabass has some of the best if not the best attention to QC and cosmetics. The rods are beautiful, wraps are perfect. The Laviathian has sweet gold metallic underwraps all the way up.
PP weight- 155g
Laviathian weight - 182g
Shakeyhead - 120g (one sweet rod. Perfect tip with plenty of power in the backbone. Friend's rod but would highly recommend the spinner)
I have to say unfortunately I may be sending both my rods back.
The PP is everything I wanted in a blank as for as tip and backbone are concerned. It has a very soft tip and then blank shuts off at the second guide with massive backbone. Not a true XF but faster than typical JDM tapers. With that said, it is just too heavy for me to fall in love. Balance is a good 2.5-3" in front of a 7.8oz DC and the tip is noticeably heavier than any of my other frog options.
The Laviathian is on paper very attractive. Again the taper and power seem perfect. Tip felt good from 2-5oz baits I hang tested indoors. This rod however could have used 20-30 grams of counter balance. While the double foot guides all the way up are durable, with the underwraps and epoxy used, again it is quite tip heavy. I knew I was in trouble when I felt how light the handle section was and all the weight was forward in the reel seat with zero counterbalance. I put 25 grams on the but and it felt remarkably better but gave the rod a strange pendulum sensation pretending to work a bait.

Figured I'd post balance point of the Laviathian.
Right at 10" in front of the seat: For reference here is 795 @ 225g is 5.25": Laviathan with 45g added total weight 227:
