The newer GLX models fit my hand better then the NRX rods, I love it.

Metanium and Bantam mostly with GLX.

Was there a mid-run handle update? I do not like my 2016 GLX spinning handles. Casting feel fine.

Noone carries them locally so can't try one for myself.

So GLX casting is out for me. Can anyone comment on the spinning reel seat? Tackletour review said it was super big and make noise when you shake it.

Are you referring to the review of the 820S DSR GLX? If so, we've heard on that particular model, the reel seat has been changed as a result of our review. However, I've not seen the new reel seat so don't know the result.

I agree with this 100%. Was almost going to post a thread “why are my GLX seats more comfortable than my Conquests or is that just me?”

My GLX 783MBR with a Curado 70 (older or MGL) is a match made in heaven. The 70 is more comfortable than a 20 Met, Bantam or Steez A

Seeing pics online of cork in between the reel stems. Mine are all black plastic/rubber; so they must have changed them.

If more comfortable I'd like to upgrade if I can.

Guess have to try one if can find in stock.

I don't think we've reviewed that stick... the MBR842C GLX - casting version - yes, but not the 842 spinning.

I have the glx 822s dsr and 894c and both reel seats I find very comfortable!
