It's Salmo Slider 12 Floating. Called jerkbait here in North Europe. 12cm/65g. For northern pike.

Can you turn a split grip into a full grip?

It's possible, but takes some time and work. You need to remove all stuff from butt to reelseat. Blank is much thicker in the end part that near reelseat so you need to ream cork/eva/etc hole quite much and then need to fill gap between blank and cork with some tape or something.
