Re: Travel rod
I took a 7' mh/f daiwa ardito 3pc with me to Disney and it suited me perfectly for there and the other ponds and inshore I did.
This is the way.

The Daiwa BBB rods are very nice and very small and portable, I love mine
Re: Travel rod
I have a 7ft6 Daiwa Ardito I keep in my car. Fishes like a 1 piece and comes with a nice case.

Re: Travel rod
Got my Levante and I am so glad I picked it up. It is an outstanding travel rod for the price. The 4-piece allows for backpack or carry-on bag storage. Build quality is top notch. The alignment dots, purple thread, and green lower blank section make for an attractive package.
The f5-611 comes in at 139 grams and feels fairly light in hand. I have fallen in love with the action! The tip is nice and light for roll casts but has solid backbone. The rod so truly versatile, I may buy another. The 1.5oz rating is probably a bit high but 1oz is not a problem. It will go low though too and I was tossing a weightless fluke with ease. It really is the perfect 1 rod travel pond hopper.
Handled some good fish in light grass real well. I'd say it is has a medium-plus tip with a heavy-minus backbone.

On the water update...it rocks!
Handled this #5.9 like a champ and is a really fun open water frog rod.

Where were you able to obtain that Levante multi piece?

I have a Megabass Black Elseil II in both spinning and casting. I don't think they make it anymore - the Levante might be the new version. I picked mine up for a little under $200 all in at auction. You really can't tell your using a 4pc rod while fishing them, and for the price they still have a decent amount of Megabass bling if that's your thing.
I've owned an Ardito before and had some great trips with it. But like a lot of 3pc rods it only bends on the tip piece and the other two sections are tree trunks. I kind of have the same thoughts about the St. Croix Legend Trek 3pc rods...got 3 of them on ebay for decent deals...sold all three after I used them.
Going up the price point Chain Tulala makes some really nice 4pc rods.

Re: Travel rod
Regretting my post as they are now sold out everywhere haha.
I am a bit worried as my second piece is making a creaking noise and the spigot part of the ferrule is moving inside the blank. To be fair I did put it through the paces with some good fish. I made sure to loosen the drag when throwing the frogs to be safe.
I'm still in love with the rod and know all will be taken care of. Going to have to call THUP and or MB.

Re: Travel rod
I'm sure it will be fine. It might not even be in the ferrule. I've had one piece rods do that after some use, but the noise went away.RMCatchNrelease wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 10:02 amRegretting my post as they are now sold out everywhere haha.
