Expride Med
Expride Med
I brought this rod to try out as I’ve heard so many things about this 6’10” rod. Than I ran across a review on YouTube by some popular guys. For those looking to get this rod solely for jerkbaits your going to be disappointed in my opinion. It’s good and well built for the price point but I think it’s a pop X max , diamanté , Sammy rod. Will it work for jb yes. Loosen up your drag. Whatever reel you have on this rod it will have to have a superb drag.

Re: Expride Med
Didn't like it and the same size/power of the Zodias for jerkbaits. Too stiff for my likings.
Re: Expride Med
I have 6'10 med expride 1st gen and it is excellent for jerkbaits. I wonder if the 2 gen is a lot different from first. The price for the 1st gen 6'10m was 349 about 90 more then the 2nd gen. The only 2nd gen's that cost that much are the 9ft rods.
Re: Expride Med
There is only one way to be certain. Send me your rod so that I can find out what the difference between the two are

Now THAT'S using the old noodle!
This is the way.
Re: Expride Med
I think the 6'10" is a decent rod.
I have one but i dont feel that its stiff enough. The action is fairly soft in my hands.
I still prefer the action of my black cumara 6'9" med reaction series.
The cumara has more backbone with a good tip action.
I use the expride for jerkbaits and poppers.
For walking baits, I prefer my cumaras.
