Best Squarebill rod

Post by Fran87 » Tue Mar 26, 2019 11:59 pm

Hi Sirs;

I'm looking for a very good squarebill and small crankbait rod if possible JDM.

The evergreen The Ocelot seems good its mixed fiberglass and carbon but its very heavy in my opinion...

Any recomendation?
Thanks

If you can find one used, the megabass X7 F4-68X7 cyclone advantage is a great squarebill rod, 3/8 to 1/2oz max.

Hi Sirs;

MEGABASS 2018 EVOLUZION F3-68TI THE ULTIMATE GRIFFON seems to be a very good rod for this application...

Has anyone tried it?

Regards

I know I'm beating these to death, but my vote is for the Major Craft MS-X 610M. For me it has just the right power and action for long casts, solid hook sets, and keeping them pinned with shallow cranks, spinnerbaits, keitechs, etc. It's got excellent sensitivity for instantly feeling your bait smack into structure so you can let it float and avoid snags. To top it off the balance is perfect.
This is the way.

I like the Daiwa Steez Fle-X-Lite 7' Medium. Such a great rod.

Been using the imx pro 845c cbr and absolutely love it! Weight and balance is superb, sensitivity is excellent, and when I hook up I haven’t lost a fish yet! Love fishing that rod
