You didn't happen to throw a weightless trickworm on it did you?
I did not throw a weightless trick worm, strictly treble hook hard baits. I'll have one in hand next week sometime and will consider that option. Based on my limited time on the water with the rod, I really don't think it would be a problem in terms of power, but the slower action isn't something I personally prefer for that technique.
Cristo wrote:Mark or Gary if you guys can confirm if the Mark 48 has spiral configuration on the guide train? from my brief reading I don't believe it is, but I see double footed all the way =D> thank you 8-) I'm going to throw this out here again if Megabass ever wants someone to test rods I know a guy   :big grin: hell I'll do Mr. Ito's laundry for crying out loud
Cristo - I may be wrong, but I don't believe this rod is spiral wrapped. I'll confirm, or Mark will, as soon as possible.

Does the flyssa have the same reel seat/handle as the addermine? Seems like a great open water rod for smallies.

Yes it does, thank goodness!

Cristo - there are NO spiral wrapped rods in US Destroyer series...

Well if it behaves somewhat like a similar powered super destruction I will certainly be happy but I think at this point I have to go for that Valkyrie extra extra heavy and then come back to the Mark 48(super sexy specs!!) As usual thanks for the Intel guys always appreciated 8-)

Both the Bunker Buster and Mark 48 has the same handle style as the Onager - full grip but partial cork partial foam. The handle is obviously longer on the Mark 48 than the Bunker Buster.

I think that's a good call... the Valkyrie rods will be gone well before these new Destroyers... I have a 76XXH with your name on it 8-)

I'm excited about the Mark 48 too - the Onager is an outstanding "big" bait rod, but having something less powerful for those sweet 2 and 3 oz baits will be great...

I regret not getting a Western Flip. That model in the Destroyer or XX line would go right into my line up.

Please do!! I felt like they were on the right track moving from the phase 3 destroyers to the x7s. I wish they would just release the entire destroyer US line in yoloy wrap with the older reel seats. The US destroyer lengths and actions in the same material as the x7s would definitely get me to start buying megabass again.
