Do you think an inshore popping rod would fit the bill? They tend to be a bit model moderate in action...

i havent handled them, and kind of forgot about them, but st croix also has a couple models in their inshore line with moderate actions, forget exactly what powers they come in, but they have a few different price ranges

St Croix makes a dedicated spinning crankbait rod. I remember reading about them here on TT during the I-cast previews they did and it was a mod action. Check either on St Croixs website or tackle warehouse. Could be that simple

The guy at Phenix suggested their inshore model over the crankbait one. Said it's not a parabolic while still maintaining a soft upper half.
