Mid to high end drop shot rod?
Mid to high end drop shot rod?
Looking to add a good spinning rod for finesse and dropshot. I use my glx 852c for shakey heads, finesse jigs, flukes and senko’s, and use a 7’ 2 piece avid x spinning rod for my back ponds hard to get into, but would like to add a good 1 piece for the boat as we are fishing a ton more off the boat. Open to options but heavily leaning towards a glx maybe nrx, would consider to try a higher end st. Croix maybe legend elite, Shimano Expride as I’ve never fished one but heard good things!

Can’t go wrong with GLX or NRX if you want super sensitivity , for the money I like the Orochi XX whipsnake or the Expride spinning series.

Thank very much! Is there a model in the glx/nrx you recommend? I’m leaning more towards loomis but can’t seem to stop thinking about trying an Expride either. Which model Expride would you recommend?Real Pudd legend wrote:Can’t go wrong with GLX or NRX if you want super sensitivity , for the money I like the Orochi XX whipsnake or the Expride spinning series.

Irod Air 6101 is a bad little drop shot rod. I really like it for flick shake, 3" swimbaits, and Ned rigs also.

Thank you! I believe I’m going with the glx 822s dsr

Ever consider a custom rod? You can really dial in the performance on a dedicated stick like that.

I’ve never considered a custom rod. But I did pick up that glx this morning actually. I don’t knwo where to then too for a custom stick in Canada.Tokugawa wrote:Ever consider a custom rod? You can really dial in the performance on a dedicated stick like that.
