I am in need a rod for finesse stuff to match my SV105HS. Mostly smaller jerkbaits and finesse jigs/worms. Any suggestions? Bait range from 1/8-3/8oz.

I use mine with a Tatula 6101mxb and 10# fluorocarbon for stuff like that and it's a match made in heaven.

Yes it is! I bought it off of a pretty cool angler :D

Price range would be under $250 ideally.

The Megabass Black Themis is right at the top of your range. Its rated 1/8-1/2 and is best in the 3/16-3/8 range. Its very much an XF rod and is great for finesse bottom contact. I like a short rod for jerks, but the BT has done well with tiny squarebills for me.

I used to pair my SV 105 with Tatula 6101Mxb too, I like it for light weight 1/8oz up to 1/4oz but heavier the accuracy when casting is compromised. I broke rod tip on hard hook set when fishing Fluke. The tip is super soft and load well with lighter lure, the power is nice got a lot of backbone but that soft tip would make any bass feel bigger.
I feel that it hard to find any rod that can handle true 1/8oz lure all the way to 3/8oz. I use Majorcraft go emotion 652L/BF for 1/8-1/4oz.

I've fished my Alphas SV on Zodias ML and a Steez Skyray Power Plus. The Zodias 1610ML was great with the reel but it will struggle with 1/8 total weight. 1/8 jigheads + small plastics and it'll be just fine. The Skyray "shallow cover finesse" is amazing with the Alphas SV, looks great too and is my dedicated small jig and worm skipping rod. Love that rig.

There is also the Daiwa Blazon and red accents and cork handle would match the SV105 well. Don't know anything about them though.

I agree, look at the Daiwa Blazon (new model) on the Daiwa Japan website. These match perfectly. I would pair it with an 18 Jackall Poison Adrena, but some folks will say blasphemy. Don't worry, it won't explode.

Just Discontiniued...But if you can find the Zillion ZIL701MXB. 1/8-5/8 lure weight, 8-17lb test.

It is the perfect Rod for the SV105.

or look at the Fenwick Elite Tech Bass MODEL # ETB70M-FC. says 3/8-5/8 on their website...should be 1/8-5/8.
