Kistler h3 7'3" heavy

Post by bronzebacks »

I finally got one one the way after reading so much good about it on this forum. I just wanted some opinions one what everyone is using them for. I know it should be great for jigs and tx rigs.

I bought mine for exactly what Cal notes. I have fished these a bit but mostly I am pitching plastics or jigs on short line to cover. In fact, I have punched with 1oz slip sinker plus hook/plastic more then I have throw Paddletails on it.

The action of the blank on hook set is what makes it special vs. even my more expensive rods. Enjoy

I personally think the H3 H is one of the more versatile blanks in the line up. I use a 7' H, which i believe has the same action as the 7'-3". I use it for frogs and love it for chatterbaits. Works well for moving baits over 1/2oz.

With a small spinnerbait on with braid as good at emitting blade vibrations as I have fished. Yes. Very versatile blank but not slow by any means..... Just not extra fast

I agree.. the extra fast labeling is not correct. Very much a moderate fast to fast action
