Hi Tackletour, are there any plans to do a review of the 2018 Loomis E6 X rods? These rods have quite the buzz lately and I would love to see what the experts (you guys) have to say :)

Probably... but the rods haven't even been officially released yet, so it will be a while.

cool Thanks. They are at my local tackle stores already (guides are smaller and spinning reel handles are different) so I thought they would be everywhere by now.

I would love to see a review of one of the new MBR rods. It seems like they are not offering the MBR taper in the IMX-Pro line and the price gulf between the new E6X and the GLX rods is pretty vast. The MBR taper are so great and if the E6X ones are up to snuff then they will be the perfect rod for a lot of people (well, at least people that I know) who don't fish a ton but want a "good" rod or two for when they do.

agreed. I have the E6X 903c MBR - the 7'6 MH model and I think its awesome.

a rod with that power and taper in that length is really cool, esp. given that it is one piece.

For a long time, 7 foot was about as long as you could find one piece, now they are getting longer, which is great IMO. Sure, a pain in the ass to transport, but once you get it out on the water, its all worth it.
