Anyone try one of these out? I’d love to give it a shot but nobody ever mentions a loomis frog rod?

It’s 884 TWFR or 885

That being said, I loved my old 844 IMX rods that I had
I’m not sure what these bring to the table but they look interesting.

Thank you, I have made the correction. I currently have a imx pro 845c cbr and love it! Was hoping to get a frog rod and naturally thought of a loomis just due to using my imx pro, and my e6x spinning rod.

344 for that rod or 479 for the XBD just something to think about.

I have the XBD rod but for toads( i know we are talking frog the hollow belly type) I use a different rod.
The balance is great on it and it has what i think is the best tip but is it worth that much more in a rod?
I would say that topwater rods aren't really what i think you should sink a lot of money in but for $135 more
just get the XBD..

I live in Canada where the imx pro’s are normally 430 so the Steez are probably closer to the 600+. I can get this imx pro 884 for closer to 240 so that’s a heck of a deal. The Zodias is the other rod I’m looking at, either the 7’2 heavy or 7’5 heavy

Than I would go with the IMX over the Shimano zodias

Okay thank you. So would you think the 884 or 885 would be the way to go. I’m trying to find the 885 in case I need to fish heavier mats. But being in Canada fishing a lot of mid to northern lakes I don’t see too many super heavy grass mats. Just don’t want to be under gunned. The 884 is a heavy power rod and most is light heads, open water need weed beds, and like I said late season on one pond I get thicker mats
