Daiwa Fuego rods

Post by Big-Bass » Tue Mar 20, 2018 6:18 am

Does anyone have any experience with the Daiwa Fuego series of rods as a backup budget rod? I looked at the 73MH and I came across one for $45 shipped and snatched it in hopes that it is decent for the price. Not expecting much but that's basically 40% off its normal price. Any input on these rods would be great. Thank you!

Man I wouldn't hesitate to get it. I handled that rod at a local shop and was really impressed. I fish nothing but the old green tds rods and the old light and toughs and it felt like it would be on pare with those. I also used to fish the td advantage 7'3" and the Fuego felt way better hands down. But I have no experience with it on the water. I got a 7'2" tatula and 7'3" zillion I love, but with that said I will be probably giving the Fuego a try this summer.
