With a name like Brail, I am thinking that its focus was on sensitivity.

That's what I talk about when using braid with a high end rod like and NRX.goldrod wrote:Tigerbass wrote:I held one at the Classic yesterday. Felt nice....

I am also very interested, but with this quote from it's description on TTT kinda made me scratch my head. "Tip: If you’re someone who wants even more feedback, be sure to try braid + fluorocarbon leader. The lack of stretch means every “tick” is sharper, while the fluorocarbon leader will protect braid from deadly abrasion as it comes through rock and structure." I hope the sensitivity is better than the XXX, but that quote kinda says don't get your hopes up to me. Even the tackle tour preview review doesn't really make it sound all that special. I'm not writing the rod off just yet because I haven't held one yet, but I'm gonna be waiting for some reviews, and hopefully fish one before I purchase any of the new XX rods personally.

JL - they haven't been released to the public yet. This model has generated a lot of interest indeed. I'm hoping to have the opportunity to fish one soon. All pre-ordered rods through the shop are scheduled to ship early May, so it won't be a long wait now...goldrod wrote:Anyone using this rod?

Here is a good video that talks more in depth about the new rods from the man who had a huge role in the redesign.

A bit of necromancy...anyone fish this stick?
Re: Braillist Rod From Megabass
I posted this on the other Braillist thread.
I find myself using the Braillist with football jigs as well as super sized shakyheads with 8-10" worms. It also is a nice C-rig rod. I have pitched a bit with it and it is just fine but pertsonally I prefer a tad shorter overall length in my fishing. I have also thrown some weightless stickbaits etc on it and liked it for that as well. Normally if I am pitching with it I try to stay 3/8oz and under if cover allows for it.

Wow, I bet that is going to be a lot cheaper for them.bronzefly wrote:Yes! They are moving their primary warehouse operations from CA to Pittsburgh, PA.Houndfish wrote:Wait, is MB opening an office in Pitt?
Here is to hoping the locals rub off on them and we get a line of MB smallmouth rods.
Re: Braillist Rod From Megabass
The move should be complete by the end of the week or early next week. Larger warehouse allowing for more inventory and will improve efficiency on many fronts. It's been in the works a while. Also other great news is the new Levantes are gonna drop soon....
