Hey TT,
I'm looking to get a new spinning rod for finesse applications. With the price drop of the levantes, I'm considering between both that series and the dobyns sierras. I've heard good things about the Sierra and I fish mainly Dobyns, but Megabass has recently caught my attention after I bought my first orochi xx. Are these two rods comparable to each other, or does one stand out more than the other?
Dobyns Sierra vs Megabass Levante
Re: Dobyns Sierra vs Megabass Levante
I haven't fished the Megabass Levante, but recently purchased both the Dobyns Sierra 692sf and the 703sf and love them. I have used both for dropshots, and also really like the 692sf for things like 1/4oz panther martins, 1/6oz Super Dupers, lucky craft pointer 65/78 jerkbaits. Just caught my pb on the 703sf this weekend (5.78lb) and it handled the fish with ease.
