I just noticed that the Zillion rods are no longer showing on the Daiwa north american website under freshwater... Does anyone know if Zillion rods are being discontinued?? If anyone would have an idea, i figure it would be here on TT.

I've fished the ZIL 731-MHFB for 2 years now and liked it MUCH better than previous gen. Even purchased the just released ZIL 741-MHRB full handle in November which i have yet to use ](*,) Prices haven't dropped on TW yet. I like them enough to want more, but not if they're discontinued.

Much Thanks to All in advance.

I think they were to make room for the Tatula Elites with AGS. That doesn’t mean they won’t have some more released at the classic or Icast.

I'm just not sold yet on the durability of the AGS guides on Tatula rods from hard use. Plus Zillion rods are lifetime warranty vs Tatulas which are not. If the Zillion rods are discontinued, that would leave a big gap below the Steez rods, no?

Will just get the new Orochi XX when released, loved the previous Emtf with a Metanium...

Can any Daiwa reps step in to comment on the current Zillion rod lineup please? Tight lines all.

They just released the Saltist back bay and today they released the updated BG spinning reel. Saying they are the next generation. Leaner and meaner from a 1500 size to 8000 size. Lighter in weight is what they are saying.

On IG they announced the new Proteus WN rods and new look VIP Boat rods.

I've bushwhacked for miles and hours....never had an issue. They are quite strong.
My rods have to worry more about trees than rod lockers...so not sure whether being a a rock locker harpooner would do more damage.
