I'll 2ndd the xx PP magic. I never would have imagined an xf tapered rod like that could be so versatile.

Now is definitely the time to try a XX with $100 off at Tackle Trap and other vendors.

I have several XX Diablo Spec Rs. Use them for 3/8 - 3/4 spinnerbaits, 3/8-1/2 chatterbaits w/trailers, 3/8-1/2 buzzbaits, 3/8+ topwater poppers, 3/8+ topwater walkers (spooks, etc), 90 whopper plopper, deps buzzjet jr.... Have probably used them for other stuff as well. Versatile moving bait rod IMHO.

I have never used the evergreen but I did pick up a handful of the orochi xx rods from the tackle trap with the current sale prices and I do believe they can not be touch at this reduced price point. No question.
