Megabass Perfect Pitch for Carolina rigs
Megabass Perfect Pitch for Carolina rigs
Everyone seems to agree that this is a great frog rod. How would it perform with 1/2 Carolina rigs?
Re: Megabass Perfect Pitch for Carolina rigs
It would be perfect, but it is a little on the short side for my liking for a c-rig. I prefer 7'5 or longer to take up the line on the hook set.

Would work fine, but like poot, I prefer a longer rod near the 7'-6" range.
I like TD-Z's

I need one rod to do both. Wouldn't 7.5 be a little long for frogs?

No. I use a 7'5" for a frog rod and love it.Rodster14 wrote:I need one rod to do both. Wouldn't 7.5 be a little long for frogs?

I believe the Aaron Martens FLipping is the same blank but with an additional 7 inches in length as the PP. I have both and have used both for frogs and carolina rigs. The only time I used the AMF for frogging is when the wife grabbed my PP for frogging The AMF did fine but wasnt as nice as say the PP. I use the AMF for carolina, pike baits, and punching.

I have the destroyer valdivia which is marketed as a frog rod but it is awesome for a c-rig as well as bottom contact. I have hammered a few on a frog as well. It's a sweet stick, no doubt about it.
