G Rods International

Post by BRONZEBACK32 » Tue Aug 01, 2017 1:24 am

Hello, wondering if anyone has used any of these rods and how they compare in sensitivity to
a NRX?

Thanks for any info.

I have fished the G-rod pro trout 66UL. Fantastic trout rod and very sensitive! The trout rod has a solid carbon tip and bite detection is great. I landed up to 10-12lbs carp on the rod and can attest for its strength. I am waiting on some of the inshore models to try that should be here by Thursday. I have not fished a bass series rod yet. I should get a good feel for the inshore stuff this weekend. I can tell you from seeing multiple rods in the Grod family upclose that no one has a cleaner build going period. JDM quality stuff. I'll update my thoughts on the inshore stuff after this weekends trip.

Ah very nice, not sure how I missed it....

Like the TT article says, sourcing one is a SOB.

You can call them direct. Also, TackleWarehouse carries G-Rods stuff now too.

I sent them a email, tacklewarehouse only carries their game changer series.

Is the blank that exact same between the game changer and pro bass?

Not the exact same. Game Changer has a lower modulus carbon. Same graphene process though.

I have always love NRX's. NRX852, 853 and 894 :). I have used them all for top water lures. The sensitivity is just superb and no doubt about it. :)

After reading from TT about this new graphene rod, I bought Pro Bass 7'6" (3 months ago), 7'10" (2 months ago) and game changer 7'11" cb rod (just last month and have not had time to go fishing yet).

I love Probass 7'10" for top water, spinner baits, jerkbaits and medium crankbaits (up to 14' deep), basically this is a very beautiful and powerful versatile rod imvho.

WW

Just received three of the new Grods inshore rods. 76MH redfish casting, 76MH redfish spinning, and 7M speckled trout casting. Rods are made for artificial baits and actions are appropriate from my initial bend profile (non scientific test) at the house. Classic Grods quality and control. I have yet to see a bad build with Grods. Very clean builds. Rods are light in hand. My initial thoughts are that the extra tip on the two 7'6" rods just make them seem "right". Can't wait to fish them this weekend to get a better feel with fish on! Nice rods!

Very nice fish.

As much as I would like to try one I cannot find one online, I have contacted the company with no answer and I have also
sent a email to one of the retailers.

I have checked each online dealer without any success. :-k

Bronzeback,

They must have been so busy after ICast 2017 :) and I am pretty sure they will return your email as soon as they can.

WW
