Would this be a good Topwater rod for throwing Sammys, Gunfish, etc? I would use it for other techniques as well.

I throw a lot of topwater like you are using(3/8-1/2oz) on my NRX 842c, and it's perfect. Should work great with the GLX as well, very versatile rods.

Would work excellent, it also works good for shallow cranks and smaller sized jerks.

I love the full handle cork and the real seat.
