never fished the Javelin but im almost certain that the Daemos is faster. Its faster than the XX Diablo Spec R. More suited for single hook moving baits than trebles. i enjoy using the Daemos for t-rig, med jigs and larger weightless plastics.

My only complaint with the daemos (could be the same for all the new destroyers) is that I find the handle to be small/thin diameter. Now this is comparing to my orochi xx rods, which I find to be very comfortable in hand. I can not compare to other destroyers but given the few reels I have put on it and the way I hold the rod, it is slightly unfortable with my bigger hands.

Daemos is definitely faster than Javeline. I use my Daemos for 3/16 - 3/8 texas rig around moderate to no cover.

I am really interested in this rod, but I'm really trying to see a picture of the balance point of this rod with a sub 6 ounce reel mounted on it? I'm very particular about the balance point and the FMJ that I have with a steez mounted on it is slightly tip heavy, mind you it is an INCREDIBLE rod and I love fishing it. I want to use the Daemos for texas rigging worms and some light dock skipping baits.

Here you go. Pixy weighs exactly 5.77 oz.

Thanks a lot man that’s EXACTLY what I hoping for! How are you liking it, and what kind of techniques are you using it for?

Probably one of my most used rods last year. I use it for 3/16 - 3/8 + worm Texas rig in no cover to moderate cover. It's light at 4.3oz, crisp, and nice ergonomics. It's the rod missing from the JDM line I've been after in terms of length, power, and taper.

^^^ x 2

great t-rig and small jig rod when your not tossing into the mess.

a totally different rod from the XX DSR. doesnt load as well but better suited for bottom contact IMO. feels like a medium power rod in hand (light, well balanced and crisp). if it were a loomis id call it a 3.5 power.

Yeah I was saying it reminds me a bit of the 853c, just a bit blank wise.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I own a 2018 xx diablo spec-r already but want to get the same versatile rod in the destroyer series so would the daemos be worth the upgrade or should I just stick with the diablo?
